Come check out the first talk of 2020 with Chris Owen and Chris Miller authors of the new climbing guide to Holcomb Valley Pinnacles in Big Bear California.
"Welcome to the Pinnacles! There's something special about this place, the deep blue and clear sky, the pine forest, the golden knobby granite playing peekaboo through the trees, snow clad mountains on the horizon. It's all of those things. Add to that hundreds of moderate sport and trad climbs and you have a high-country climbing mecca.
Holcomb: Sky Forest Gold is the new climbing guide to Holcomb Valley Pinnacles in Big Bear, California. This new guide covers all of the main areas, and contains over 400 routes, mostly sport but some trad and a few top ropes. Written by Chris Miller and Chris Owen both Big Bear locals and longtime visitors to the area. Chris Miller in particular has put up more first ascents at Holcomb than any other activist."
