The Caltech Alpine Club & Outland Mountain Shop present The Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour. Films in this year's tour bring the spirit of adventure to life on the screen. A wide variety of stories - from mountain sports, mountain culture and the environment - will entice and inspire viewers. Get a taste of mountain adventure from around the world.

Films to be shown, though not necessarily in this order, include:

  • Front Range Freaks: Biscuit (United States, 3 min.)
A small dog that loves to climb big rocks.
  • A Man Called Nomad (United Kingdom, 39 min.)
Nomadic herders caught between their traditional lifestyle and a changing world. (2003 Best Film on Mountain Culture Award)
  • Wehyakin (United States, 36 min.)
Following an international crew of paddlers through spectacular white water in Iceland, Norway and Mexico.
  • The Other Final (Netherlands, 53 min.)
The story of an officially sanctioned match between the lowest-ranked teams in international soccer Bhutan and Montserrat. Played against a mountainous Bhutanese backdrop on the same day as the World Cup Final, this match is more about the love of the game than the final score. (2003 Grand Prize Award)
