Learn how we measure the health of a glacier, how crazy scientists are willing to risk there life to stab a stake into the glacier heart and get little reward with hardly cited scientific articles!

Most interestingly, I will show a bunch of amazingly beautiful pictures of our 12 days trip there and back, in the valleys of the Nepalese Himalaya, and to the bottom of Mount Everest where we set our camp for 10 days of intensive work in below freezing temperatures but with the most breath-taking office in the world. And if you ask, I'll talk about science too, and how much we know about the state and fate of glaciers in the Himalayas.

The talk will be followed by a reception with free refreshments.
